Expert Psychiatric Care for Young People

Our board-certified child and adolescent psychiatrists and psychiatric nurse practitioners specialize in evaluating and treating mental health conditions in children and teens. We take a family-centered approach, working closely with parents, pediatricians, schools, and therapists to provide comprehensive care.

Whether your child needs an initial diagnostic evaluation, medication management for ADHD or depression, or ongoing psychiatric support, our team provides compassionate, evidence-based care tailored to your child's developmental stage and unique needs.

What We Evaluate

  • ADHD and attention difficulties
  • Depression and mood disorders
  • Anxiety disorders
  • Behavioral and emotional challenges
  • Autism spectrum and developmental concerns
  • Trauma and PTSD

What to Expect During Evaluation

Comprehensive Assessment

Your child's evaluation typically lasts 60-90 minutes and includes a detailed discussion of symptoms, developmental history, family history, school performance, and current stressors. We gather information from parents, review records from pediatricians or schools when available, and may use standardized rating scales.

Our goal is to understand the whole child—not just symptoms, but strengths, interests, family dynamics, and what's working or not working at home and school.

Diagnosis & Treatment Planning

After the evaluation, we'll discuss our diagnostic impressions and treatment recommendations. This may include medication, therapy referrals, school accommodations, parent training, or a combination of approaches.

We explain medication options in plain language, discuss potential benefits and side effects, and answer all your questions. We never pressure families into medication—we make recommendations and support your informed decision.

Ongoing Medication Management

If medication is part of the treatment plan, we schedule regular follow-up appointments to monitor effectiveness, adjust dosing, manage side effects, and coordinate with therapists and schools. We work as a team with your child's other providers to ensure comprehensive, coordinated care.
