Mental Health & Academic Success Go Hand in Hand

When mental health providers, schools, and families work together, children do better. Our school collaboration services ensure that your child's teachers, school counselors, and our clinical team are all on the same page—sharing insights, coordinating supports, and creating consistent strategies across home and school.

With your consent, we partner with local schools, pediatricians, and community agencies to provide coordinated care. This team approach prevents conflicting advice, reduces gaps in care, and helps your child succeed both academically and emotionally.

How We Collaborate

  • Teacher coordination and consultation
  • IEP and 504 plan support
  • School counselor communication
  • Behavior intervention planning
  • Crisis prevention and response
  • Academic accommodation recommendations

Why School Collaboration Matters

Consistent Support Across Settings

When your child's therapist and teachers use the same strategies, your child gets consistent messages and support. This reduces confusion, reinforces positive behaviors, and helps skills learned in therapy transfer to the classroom.

Early Intervention

Teachers often notice changes in behavior, mood, or academic performance before parents do. When we have open communication with schools, we can intervene early—before small problems become big crises.

IEP & 504 Plan Support

We can attend IEP or 504 meetings (with your consent), provide documentation for accommodations, and help advocate for your child's needs. Our clinical expertise helps schools understand how mental health conditions affect learning.

Better Outcomes

Research shows that coordinated care leads to better outcomes—improved grades, fewer behavioral incidents, reduced absences, and better social relationships. When everyone works together, kids succeed.

Your Privacy is Protected

We never share information with schools without your written consent. You control what information is shared, with whom, and for how long. We follow all HIPAA and FERPA regulations to protect your child's privacy.

You can revoke consent at any time, and we'll stop communicating with the school. Our goal is to support your child while respecting your family's privacy and preferences.
